ABOUT THE FOUNDERS
Only two brothers who lived in both Egypt and Miami could conjure Karnak Premium Rum, a luxury spirit that captures the mystery and opulence of an ancient civilization, and combines it with the passion and extravagance of The Magic City.
The Brothers Khalil first experienced Egyptian sugarcane, known as “asab” in the region, as children on their family farm outside of Cairo. The local treat of shucking off the layers and chewing them, as well as drinking the sweet, cool liquid in the hot, desert sun, was forever etched into their memories.
Their Miami experience was quite different, allowing them to enjoy rums from around the world, whether neat or on ice, along South Florida’s magnificent beaches and inside the city's world-famous nightclubs.
